Job Description

Provides oversight, leadership and supervision of the Therapeutic Foster Care program, Respite program, and home visitation supervision services.  Responsible for all aspects of the program including growth and profitability.               

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the general operations of the Therapeutic Foster Care program, Respite program, and supervised visitation services
  • Supervise program staff and provide direction, consultation, and coordination to staff as it relates to the care and treatment of service recipients.
  • Establish, modify and ensure program guidelines and policies are followed in accordance with regulatory bodies and organizational policies and procedures
  • Fiscal oversight of responsible area budgets
  • Accountable for programmatic financial success and service excellence
  • Coordinate billing and payment process for providers and recipients
  • Create and monitor program goals, objectives, and outcomes
  • Coordinate admission and discharge process in partnership with custodial agency when applicable
  • Consult on service/treatment planning processes
  • Oversee crisis services
  • Provide backup for all areas of responsibility
  • Outreach and maintain relationships with other community service providers such as schools, social services, courts, hospitals, law enforcement, etc. to improve service access for children in the program
  • Prepare and submit all reports as required
  • Responsible for employment lifecycle of program staff including but not limited to performance management, training, employment status
  • Approve all electronic documentation submission from staff
  • Complete mandatory trainings as required by program and organizational needs
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services field required; Master’s degree in human services field preferred
  • 5 years’ of professional experience in a children’s mental health setting, out of home placement, or children’s supportive skill building services role
  • 3 years’ of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrable abilities in leadership and engagement
  • Effective communication and engagement skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and familiarity with database systems
  • Valid NYS driver’s license acceptable to insurance carrier standards
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the program
